- Hi, everyone. We should all
be proud of ourselves. We added nine new members to
the AGA. We had a full day of Go with great food
compliments of Henry Lee. We had an outstanding high
level Dan game between two new members, Jae Hong Kim
(5D) and Kazuo Sato (5D). At the other end of the
spectrum, Cyndey Hedgpeth (9 y.o.), Chelsea and Elka
Dinhofer (both 8 y.o.), the youngest participants,
played some great games. It was the first full games
that the Dinhofer twins had ever played and Elka
managed to win hers!
- Travis Hedgpeth had never
played in a tournament before and he was facing off
against many of our regulars with a strong showing in
the 14k range. Dr. Han and Dr. Kuk were there and
participated in showing our new Dan level members that
the Bayou Go club has its share of strong players. We
had great family participation. Ray Davis came with
his son, Art. Glenn Hedgpeth brought Travis and
Cydney. They all played the whole day. As you all
know, I brought my twin daughters who had a grand
time. Craig Delery made several appearances but had to
spend half the day refereeing soccer. Andreas Balser
- finally had a chance to
prove himself clearly demonstrating that he has a
- strong 6k attitude.
