MAILED LETTER 1850, Manuscript cover marked TENNESSEE,
mailed from Panama to San Francisco March 21st 1850. Being a printed
and filled-in form letter advising the party in San Francisco that the
five letters they had forwarded to Panama had been forwarded to their
destination to different parties both east and west of Panama. The TENNESSEE
was working the Western hub of the Pacific Mail line and was lost near
San Francisco in 1853. A nice GOLD RUSH era postal item where
mail was sent to Panama from both the east and west and carried across
the Isthmus until the railroad was
